Everything good will come

On some days I overestimate my importance. I picture a gallery of Obama and Einstein and the best parts of my father, and imagine that good things are inevitable if only I would punch above my weights. Maybe I'm just downright clueless. Maybe I'm bloated brilliance. Who cares?

I am thankful that my will and luck align. Thankful for the fundamental privileges that often get overlooked. Thankful for those who told me I could be more and trust me to try. I am thankful for me, and for you, you and you!

I've been instructed to give a public lecture, probably the first from an undergraduate student, in my school's history.
Problem is that I'm stuck watching sex/life when I should be going through dozens of equations just to make sure I'm still smart. Boy, oh boy! 😹
