The “block” is a unit of information.

The “ledger” is a sequence of chains.

The tl;dr of crypto:

1) avoid centralization
2) avoid censorship
3) avoid disruption

I have a really bad feeling that the commoditization of KYC in web3 will backfire.

Blockchain & web3 is great for settling disputes, but lousy for prediction markets.

That’s because a prediction market requires *ad hoc* incentives.

Web3 has *automated* incentives.

The tech industry thrives on the tension between centralization and decentralization.

Two opposite forces.

But the two are ultimately complementary.

Centralized, fast, efficient, optimized, decentralized.

The best of both worlds.

The framework for tomorrow's money is tokenized currency.

The framework for tomorrow's government is the DAO.

#DeFi in $SOL is still at its lowest.

The currency of the future will be the one with the maximum utility.

Which will be one that provides the most utility (to the greatest number of users).

But which currency gets that— fiat or crypto?

If the goal of the financial system was wealth, then everyone would be rich.

Network effects can be a form of communication and why virtually every aspect of the internet, social media or cryptocurrencies has been improved via this design of communication.

The distinction in web3 is between the people who have a stake (retail users), and the people who are in control (VCs & management).
