I was amidst an important career change, trying to make something out of my work. That plan shattered into a million pieces, and my only hope, for weeks on end, was to be able to get up from the bed without feeling anxious.

I never thought I'd be able to find myself after that first day. Everything felt pointless, destroyed, and distant. I remember rushing into the hospital, having accepted fate and that my life would never be the same again.

🧵Exactly a year ago, I had my first panic attack followed by weeks of anxiety attacks. Eventually, a month later, I was diagnosed with GAD triggered, among others, by an accident I had while I was out with friends. It took over 4 months to be able to function again.

I advised a friend who is contemplating starting her own company that startups are akin to mold and fungi. They persist and flourish within the cracks of walls for a long time. If they are fortunate, favorable conditions might help them overtake the building.
