Google is used by 4.2 billion people.
But most people don't understand how it works.
So here's a simplified version 🧵 👇

People in today's society are naive enough not to object when their privacy is violated. They'll actually speak out in defence of large corporations and corrupt governments that act improperly under the belief of good faith.

Cybersecurity is one of those industries where it becomes challenging to stay current once you stop learning and start losing interest. It's basically a lifestyle.

My take on NFT: If you've spent half a million dollars on a picture of a monkey or dinosaur, you're a pretty good target for fraud from the prospective of a criminal - just saying.

Something that a lot of people don't understand from a black-hat hacker's perspective is that hacking a specific website can be hard. But when you expand your scope to every website on the internet, that definition changes slightly.

@danielmakelley
If teenagers have been hacking large corporations since the 1990s, could it be that the root cause of the problem isn't specifically teenagers?

Just a reminder: there are many people in cybersecurity who are above competence but do not have a social media presence.

People assume that the police conduct investigations into major cybersecurity incidents, but in most cases, the work is outsourced to private sector companies, that’s where you can find true skill and talent. The police compile the material for court.

If you're ever in charge of security at a company that gets hacked, make sure incident response actually identifies the attack vector that was used in the hack and not just some random vulnerability. This occurred twice to 2 different businesses that I hacked in 2015.

For the record: there are people attempting to impersonate me or pretend to be affiliated with me in order to gain attention. I have no affiliation with them, and everything I post on this account is accurate.

My setup when I was arrested by Scotland Yard.
They were fascinated by the fact that the panel was off the side of the box, which resulted in them taking this photo and giving it to the media.
The reason it was off was because there was a faulty SATA cable, that's all.

@danielmakelley
Reform yourself they said, you've got the potential to earn hundreds of thousands of pounds and go legit they said. What a load of bollocks.
My friends, I can confirm that a skillset in criminality does not equate to a lot of money in a legitimate context.

Shout-out to that journalist that found my personal number and gave me a call at 10pm on a Saturday night.
You got the second part right—I would much prefer to speak with you at 10 p.m. rather than 10 a.m.—but you got the first part wrong; you could have simply messaged me.
